Building a culture of accountability

Lately, I have spent a great deal of time thinking about the importance of accountability and leadership. When we talk about great leaders, we often discuss characteristics such as being an excellent communicator, charismatic, honest, trustworthy and inspirational. Accountability does not always make it to the top of these lists. Yet, the ability to hold oneself and others accountable is often a defining characteristic that sets great leaders apart.
